# What is StellarFirm?

> StellarFirm gives you AI Agents, Agentic Assistants for your work. You are the CEO: set goals, approve risky steps, and let the assistants do the work.

StellarFirm gives you AI Agents, Agentic Assistants for your work that do knowledge work for you. You are the CEO. You say what you want, in your own words, and the assistants take it from there. They pass work to each other when a job needs more than one role, and they come back to you when a decision matters.

## Mission brief

| The CEO assistant | Works for you. It reads your message, writes a brief, and picks the right assistant. See [How the CEO works](/docs/ceo/how-the-ceo-works). |
| Assistants | Each assistant has a job, called a persona: the Coder, Product owner, Marketing, Accountant, Legal, Sales, Executive assistant, Support, and more. |
| Workspaces | Every assistant works in its own private workspace, a computer of its own, kept apart from the others. |
| Approvals | Anything that sends, deploys, charges, publishes, or creates waits for your Approve. See [approvals](/docs/ceo/approvals). |
| House rules | The rules for your company. They decide what the assistants may do without asking. See [house rules](/docs/ceo/house-rules). |

## How a job flows

1. You write a goal in chat, for example "Fix the failing tests on main."
2. The CEO assistant reads it, writes a short brief, and hands it to the right assistant.
3. The assistant works in its workspace. You can watch it in [Jobs](https://stellarfirm.ai/app/jobs) and on the assistant's [computer](https://stellarfirm.ai/app/computer).
4. When the work reaches a step that affects the outside world, such as opening a pull request, it stops and asks. The request appears on [Approvals](https://stellarfirm.ai/app/approvals).
5. You approve or reject. The assistant carries on and reports back in chat.

> You never have to manage the assistants step by step. Describe the outcome you want and what "done" looks like, and let the CEO assistant plan the rest.

## Web app and desktop app

StellarFirm has two ways to use it, and both show the same screens.

Pick whichever suits you. You can sign in to both with the same account, and the chat, Approvals, Jobs, and Settings look the same. The phone app for iPhone and Android uses the same account too.
